2024 Goal: 100 Elementary Boxes
Each year Living Faith partners with CBF Field Personnel member Scarlette Jasper and Olive Branch Ministries to deliver Christmas Boxes to some of the poorest counties in the country in Appalachia. These gifts are important. The principal of Pine Knot Elementary School shared that these boxes may be the only gift some kids will get for Christmas. So, each year we focus on quality instead of quantity. Our goal is for each box to express the love of Christ and inspire joy this Christmas.
Our 2024 goal is 100 boxes for children in early elementary school. We will collect the items below at the church and gather for a box packing party on Sunday, October 27 at 4:00pm. Boxes will be provided by Living Faith. Please do not buy clothing as sizes are too varied (this is why we send gift cards). Do not pack candy in the boxes – they absorb the taste of hygiene items. Please select toys that are not violent in nature. An updated list of what has been collected and what is still needed will be at the Connection Table in the church Commons room.
Here are our dates:
- Collect Items: Now – Oct 27
- Drop-off Items at Living Faith: Oct 20 – Oct 27
- Box Packing Party at Living Faith: Oct 27 at 4:00pm
- Deliver Boxes to Corbin and Volunteer: Nov 7-8
