Living Faith is grateful to partner with the Église Évangélique au Maroc (EEAM), a Protestant church serving Christ at a crossroads of cultures and continents in Morocco. The EEAM traces its roots to the early twentieth century and is present in multiple Moroccan cities, offering a faithful Christian witness through worship, community life, and public presence in a Muslim-majority context.
Our partnership is especially focused on the EEAM congregation in Fès. Living Faith provides $100 per month to support the salary of Pastor Laveran Mboussa, a graduate of the Al Mowafaqa Ecumenical Theological Institute in Rabat. Al Mowafaqa was created by Morocco’s Christian churches as a place of theological formation and of ecumenical, interreligious, and intercultural dialogue. Laveran began serving the Fès church while he was a student, and today his pastoral leadership steadies a congregation made up almost entirely of students. He is married and is the father of an infant daughter.
The Fès church maintains an ambitious rhythm of Christian community across the city. They gather for worship, organize home Bible studies, nurture music ministry, and create opportunities for retreats, seminars, and theological formation. They also reach out to unchurched students, extending welcome and friendship as a living testimony to Jesus. Most significantly, the church invests substantial time and care in refugee and migrant ministry, echoing the EEAM’s wider commitment to compassionate support for people in urgent need through its aid work and local teams.
When Living Faith gives beyond the monthly pastoral support, our contributions go directly to strengthen these student-led ministries of hospitality, discipleship, and mercy in Fès.
