June 7-10 @ 6 pm Each Night
Lost and Found in the Louvre is a children’s art and Bible camp that invites kids into a Parisian adventure of faith, beauty, and discovery. At the center of the camp is an original four-night story about two American children, Eli and Clara, who travel to Paris with their parents, get lost in the Louvre, and are helped by a kind museum guide, Madame Lucille. As they make their way through the great museum, they encounter works of art that help them discover who Jesus is. By the end of their journey, they realize that Jesus had been with them all along, and they begin to wonder if they, too, are ready to respond to him in baptism.
Each day of camp will pair that unfolding story with Worship and Wonder Bible lessons, guided art reflections, and hands-on art classes inspired by the great themes of the week. Children will explore four movements of revelation: God comes near in the birth of Jesus, Jesus is revealed in his baptism, Jesus’ glory appears at the wedding at Cana, and Jesus is known among us on the road to Emmaus. The paintings and stories of the Louvre will not simply decorate the camp; they will help children look closely, ask questions, and discover how art can open their eyes to the presence of Christ.
Throughout the week, children will hear the continuing evening story of Eli and Clara in the Louvre, then enter more deeply into the Bible stories and artistic themes those characters are discovering. They will engage scripture imaginatively, reflect on Christian art with wonder and curiosity, and respond through creative projects in painting, collage, design, and other art forms. The camp will also include French-themed games, Parisian snacks, and immersive decorations, helping the whole week feel like a joyful journey through Paris.
